The American company Fisker, headed by Danish designer and entrepreneur Henrik Fisker, has revealed new details about the most important of its upcoming novelties – the electric compact crossover Pear, the serial production of which is due to begin in July 2025 at the Foxconn plant in Lordstown (USA, Ohio).

The Pear crossover was highlighted in early August at the Fisker Product Vision Day 2023 event along with three other new models of the company. After this “wholesale” show, each novelty was awarded a separate press release with photos and technical details. So, we have already become quite familiar with the 1000-horsepower coupe-convertible Fisker Ronin, the Fisker Alaska pickup truck and the off-road version of the Force E crossover Fisker Ocean, and now it’s time to look into the Fisker Pear, its name stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution.

Pear will be the most affordable and most popular model of Fisker, with its help the company wants to reach the sales level of one million cars per year within a decade. Pear is designed mainly for young urban residents, which, however, does not prevent them from going on a small country trip with the whole family or with a group of friends. With an overall length of 4550 mm, the Fisker Pear is ready to take on board six people and a fairly large number of things, since in addition to the main trunk there is a front one, called Froot.

The front trunk is isolated from the cabin, so it is convenient to transport strongly smelling food or clothes soaked in sweat after outdoor activities, in addition, a thermoregulation system will be offered for an additional fee, so that hot food remains hot and cold drinks are cold.

The main trunk door is named Houdini in honor of the legendary illusionist Harry Houdini, it does not open outwards, but moves down behind the rear bumper – thus, it will be possible to get / put things even in the tightest parking lot, but because of such an original design, the luggage opening turned out to be small, and the lower edge of the trunk is located quite high. The translucent roof of the Fisker Pear has built-in solar panels to recharge the battery.

The seating formula of the cabin is 3 + 3, that is, the front passenger seat is made double, but it will be possible to choose a more traditional 2 +3 layout. The interior is decorated unpretentiously, but there are many niches and shelves for small things. The wear-resistant and rough-looking finish is made of recyclable materials. All the chairs can be folded and a double bed can be arranged in the salon. For an additional fee, an additional 17.1-inch rotating screen will be offered so that you can lie down and watch a movie. A powerful computer of its own production Fisker Blade with a capacity of 6.2 teraflops has also been announced for Pear, it will be responsible for entertainment and software personalization of the electric car.

There are no details about the Pear platform yet, it is only known that it is called SLV-1 and was developed specifically for this model, the main structural material is light steel. The number of parts that make up the Pear is about 35% less than that of other electric vehicles in this class, while many parts are unified – for example, the armrests in all doors are exactly the same. A relatively simple design and large production volumes should guarantee an affordable price: in the US, the Pear will cost from $29,900, and taking into account federal subsidies, it will be possible to become the owner of a crossover for only $22,400.

In the basic configuration, the Pear will have a single electric motor on the rear axle and a power reserve on a single charge at 290 km, up to 100 km / h it will be able to accelerate in 5.6 s. More expensive and long-range versions will be able to drive 320-560 km on a single charge on the WLTP cycle, depending on the equipment. Twin-engine all-wheel drive versions are also in the plans, including the sports Extreme. Standard wheels – 20- or 22-inch.

Pre-orders for Fisker Pear are already being accepted, for registration, the company asks you to transfer a deposit of $250 to her.
