The scenic SUV will be presented exclusively in the form of an electric car, and the “heel” family is expected to replenish the stretched passenger version. New items will debut in a few days.

The Renault Scenic compact van left the assembly line last year, but the French brand does not refuse the name familiar to Europeans: now this name is assigned to a compact electric SUV. The harbinger of the cross – the Scenic Vision concept – was presented in the same 2022, in July of this year, the company distributed a photo of a disguised test sample. Well, now Renault has shared teasers of the serial electric crossover: the world premiere will be held at the IAA Mobility exhibition, which will open in Munich next week.

As promised, the externally marketable Scenic E-Tech electric largely repeated last year’s show car. In particular, the cross has almost the same narrow LED headlights and “boomerangs” of running lights, plus a similar silhouette and “broken” taillights. And, of course, the tinsel inherent in the concepts was removed: instead of cameras, the usual mirrors were installed, central racks appeared, flip-out handles on the doors.

The interior is still classified, although the futuristic interior of the prototype Scenic Vision conveyor crossover, on the contrary, hardly got anything. Most likely, inside the electric car imitates the other latest models of the brand, that is, we are waiting for a virtual appliance and a vertical multimedia tablet embedded in an L-shaped case.

Renault Scenic E-Tech electric is built on the CMF-EV platform, on which Renault Megane E-Tech and Nissan Ariya are also based. So the crossover will probably have several modifications that differ in power and range. The models on this “cart” can have all-wheel drive (an electric motor on each axis), but whether the new Scenic has received such a version, we will find out after the premiere.

Together with the electric crossover at the IAA Mobility exhibition, Renault will also show a new version of the Kangoo “heel” – with the prefix Grand in the name. There are no images of the Grandee yet, there is not even a description. However, it is already clear that this will be an elongated seven-seat version.
