Subaru, Subaru Premieres in October: an Unusual Coupe and a Special Forester

The two-door will debut in the status of a concept, and it’s not a fact that it will get to the conveyor. But the new version of the crossover will appear at dealers.

Subaru has listed the exhibits for the Tokyo Japan Mobility Show, which will open its doors to journalists on October 25. The main premiere will be the newest electric show car, and the brand will also demonstrate serial models. Let’s start with the concept.

The prototype was named Subaru Sport Mobility Concept. Judging by the only teaser at the moment, the Japanese will show a coupe, and it has a rather unusual design. So, the two-door got a narrow head optics consisting of LED strips and “strokes”, plus the concept received “squared” wheel arches. There are glowing sections on the windshield, but the company did not tell about the purpose of this element. Not a word about the filling yet either, Subaru only noted that the concept “reflects the evolution of the brand’s sporting values.”

Most likely, Subaru Sport Mobility will remain a show car, however, later some design solutions may well migrate to the brand’s new “electric trains”.

Another new Subaru is a special version of the Forester crossover with the unpretentious name Special Edition. According to the manufacturer, the special SUV is “equipped with features that encourage you to take calls outdoors.” And this is all the information so far. There are no separate images of the Subaru Forester Special Edition yet, while the Forester is still captured in the general picture, but there are no obvious differences from the standard model. It has been announced that a new version will appear on the home market before the end of autumn.

Also, the latest generation Subaru Crosstrek SUV (ex-XV), a fresh Levorg Layback cross-station wagon and an electric Solterra crossover (debuted back in 2021) will be brought to the Japan Mobility Show.
